EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
LIFE OF A
PERFORMER

I was a professional driver for almost 20 years until a tragic injury derailed my physical capabilities. I also have an extensive background in the world of Standup Comedy. I started that journey in 2010 and have fallen in love with the stage. I have an amazing amount of respect for all of the performance arts.

Other than being The Big Bopper for comedy and Big B for radio, sometimes when i do my karaoke jams they call me Thick Shady! Now my focus is fully scoped on my Radio Broadcast program at Conestoga College. I will always be an on air radio personality that has the wherewithal to engage a diverse group of listeners with my larger than life personality!
Ever since I was 15 years old I was an extremely hard worker with immense strength and durability. I worked in all sorts of jobs that allowed me to meet new people and create new friendships.
Some of my many stops include: Canadian Tire, Hostess Frito Lay, Better Beef, The City of Kitchener, Patene Building Supply, The City of Guelph and last but not least The City of Cambridge. Now after my accident, College Program, and career change, I have a new leas on life. I have been the Radio Producer and Swing Shift Announcer for Bell Media in Dawson Creek B.C. since July 2019.
Back
To
School
It's funny how things come back around in life. Back in 1998 when I was 21 years old I had the chance to get involved in The Radio Broadcasting course but opted to go into full-time work instead.
Now, almost 20 years later at the age of 40 I am back in school at Conestoga College giving everything I have in the Radio Broadcasting Program. I have met so many new friends and the faculty are sensational. I can't wait to see what the future holds for The Big Bopper in the broadcast and communications industry.
It has been a lot of work, as well as very frustrating at times because my computer knowledge was limited. I am trying to learn more each week and improve myself everyday. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it!
